In-School Educational Psychology Services

 


The educational psychologist visits the school two days a week, providing the following services to students, parents and the school:

 

  • Individual assessment for students – the educational psychologist provides intellectual and other psycho-educational assessments for students referred by the school for a better understanding of the students’ abilities and limitations to facilitate planning and provision of special support to such students.
  • Student Counseling – counseling services is provided for students having more serious emotional and behavioral problems.
  • Consultation – consultation is provided to social workers, teachers, and the school as a whole on cases, curriculum development and students’ Individualized Learning Programs.
  • Staff development and parent education – talks, seminars and workshops are organized to enhance the understanding of staff and parents on students’ special needs in learning and other aspects such as behavioral management and parenting skills.
